The CSX IRT3 is an infrared LED transmitter used in AKG’s Language Distribution Systems. It uses a digital PPM signal to transmit up to 10 channels to receivers in a conference hall or other areas. A built-in signal refresher allows multiple transmitters can be cascaded to cover very large areas with no signal loss. The transmitter is designed to dissipate heat without the need for a fan, so it operates noiselessly. The CSX IRT3 also has status LEDs that can be seen by the technician from a distance.

Two coverage angles are available – the CSX IRT3 is the “spotlight” version with an LED projection angle of +/- 17° to cover distances up to 65 meters.
