Crest CKd 1208 Networkable Multi-Channel Power Amplifier

The CKD-1208 Multichannel power amp from Crest Audio provides eight channels 1250 watts each. Each channel can be configured to operate to rated power in direct 70-volt, 100-volt, 8-ohm or 4-ohm modes, configurable per channel. Network CKD amplifiers through Crest Audio NexSys Nx Dante-8 or Nx CobraNet 8 interface modules and easily managed using the MediaMatrix NWare software program for advanced control and audio routing. The Nx Dante-8 or CobraNet 8 module fits into the rear bay of CKd Series power amps and supports networked digital audio I/O via a Gigabit Ethernet connection. A Control Voltage input is included on each channel to allow external gain control, while the Fault output on each channel allows the CKd power amps to be wired to other monitoring systems. Channels can also be disabled when not in use to best conserve energy. The CKD Series also includes Crest Audio’s exclusive ACL (Active Clip Limiting) to automatically reduce gain at the onset of clipping to prevent amplifier and loudspeaker damage, and IGM (Instantaneous Gain Modulation) for monitoring load current to protect against overloading.
