The groundbreaking design of OWA's HR5 7" 2-way powered studio monitor positions it uniquely for home or project studio use. A twin constant directivity horn design yields a perfect 100 degrees of full-range dispersion. That means in front of this speaker the entire room is the sweet spot, no matter where you stand! You get this balance regardless of where the HR5 is placed in the room or the distance from the listener. No other speaker can do that.

The horns are milled out of solid blocks of wood that are totally nonresonant for greater efficiency. This means the speaker doesn't have to work as hard and requires half the power of a conventional design, yielding extremely low distortion, even at its loudest. The result is a natural sound without harshness or coloration. They look like horns, but they don't sound like horns.

The cabinets feature a 7" woofer with a rear-ported design that extends the wavelength of the bass in smaller rooms producing clear, defined lows down to 45Hz and below. A bi-amped design provides 125 watts to the woofer and directs 90 watts to the high-frequency driver to keep distortion from underpowering at bay while listening at higher levels.
