Ibanez PTPRE Pentatone Preamp and EQ Effect Pedal

The Pentatone Pre gives you the drive tones you want from the amp you have. Sculpt your tone before it hits your amp with five stages of tone shaping that give you tweaker-level control over your sound. Pre-boost, distortion, parametric EQ, noise gate, and post-boost sections offer nuanced shaping to create the sound in your head. A switchable pre-boost allows the pedal to push later gain stages or reduce the input signal before it hits the distortion stage. The dedicated distortion section features gain, level, bass, and treble controls with a switchable bright boost to emulate a brilliance channel. A five-band parametric EQ with sweepable centers gives you surgical control over the frequency characteristics of your tone. It's switchable via toggle, one of the two integrated footswitches or an IFS2L external footswitch (sold separately). Once you've dialed up all that drive and tonal goodness, you can kick in the super-responsive noise gate so all they hear is you. Finally, you can to play on or kick in the post-boost to drive your amp harder, putting your solo front and center even when FOH misses it.
