The harpsichord, a versatile keyboard instrument prominent from the 16th to the mid-18th century in European music, was celebrated for its unique characteristics. It featured distinct design elements, including multiple sets of strings and quill plucking. These instruments flourished across Europe with varying configurations and ornate cases. Harpsichords enriched the complex melodies of Baroque music, and nearly every Baroque composer utilized them.

We sampled an 18th Century Italian Bizzi Harpsichord, preserving its unique sound and room characteristics. Our meticulous recording in a studio in San Raffaele Cimena, Italy, captured an extensive range of sounds, including registers, glisses, percussive impacts, and more, with two mic positions. We also provide custom FX presets and ambient content for creative flexibility.
