Product Overview

Often called the glue that holds your mix together, properly applied bus compression can take a mix from good to Oh Yeah! The MagicDeathEye high-end variable gain tube compressor is loosely based on the ubiquitous Fairchild 660.

The hardware version was designed by Ian Sefchick, a mastering engineer at Capitol Records. The DDMF MagicDeathEye is the result of a partnership with Mr. Sefchick, resulting in an emulation of his design that's strikingly close to the original. It's all there. From the eight vacuum tubes to the hand-wound transformers, and when you hear it, you'll have a hard time believing it's all happening in the box.

Fat, warm, and open, the way a great tube compressor should sound. Use the MagicDeathEye to polish individual tracks as well as your stereo master bus, and the beauty is it's virtual, so you have more than one! The software can process in mono or stereo and offers identical reduction for both channels.
