• A.I.R Port: After thorough research and development, we created the A.I.R.port with a unique internal structure. This design reflects sound waves and directs them to exit from a strategically positioned sound hole. The outcome is improved clarity, allowing players to monitor their performance more effectively and enhancing the overall playing experience.
• Advanced Auditorium Body: With the Advanced Acoustics concept - "Reimagining Acoustic Experience" in focus, the new body shape was meticulously crafted the shape of the Advanced Auditorium. Drawing inspiration from the standard Auditorium body, we made adjustments through several prototyping rounds. The Advanced Auditorium now features a slightly wider waist, shifted closer to the neck. These modifications result in enhanced low mids and improved body-to-weight balance, addressing limitations often found in conventional Auditorium bodies.
• X-M bracing for AAM series: After over two years of experimentation, research, and prototyping, Ibanez created the X-M bracing exclusively for Advanced Auditorium guitar bodies, aiming to achieve optimal sound for both stage and studio settings. The carefully crafted scalloped X-M bracing, tone braces, and finger braces effectively transfer string vibration from the bridge to the body, resulting in a broad dynamic range and excellent response. The midrange is slightly scooped for improved tonal balance, and the treble maintains the clarity of steel strings while preserving the warmth of nylon strings.
• Solid Sika Spruce Top: Solid Sitka Spruce top provides an enormous frequency range that offers wave after wave of shimmering highs along with tight mids and a full-bodied low end.
• Rosewood Back and Sides: Rosewood back and sides provide a well-balanced solid tone with a focused mid range.
• Ibanez Custom Electronics w/Undersaddle Pickup Volume and Contact Pickup Volume: Ibanez Custom Electronics naturally amplify the signal from each pickup across the entire tonal spectrum. Combining the two pickups enables players to craft a range of tones tailored to their playing style or music genre.
• Macassar Ebony Scalloped Bridge: The lightweight, scalloped bridge improves vibration efficiency for better resonance, as well as providing more flexibility in adjusting the action than usual bridge.
• Macassar Ebony Fretboard: Macassar Ebony produces tight lows and mid range along with strong attack in the highs and quick response with rich sustain.
• Low Oval Grip Thermo Aged™ African Mahogany neck with Rounded Fretboard Edge: The Low Oval neck grip facilitates easy chord strumming and the Rounded Fretboard Edges deliver superior playability. Thermo Aging, a special drying process, makes the neck light and hard and provides excellent stability and enhanced resonance.
• Advanced Access Cutaway: Its deep straight cutaway (from 18th fret) and shaved side enable amazing high fret access.
• Functional Tapered Headstock: Its tapered shape provides lighter weight, as well as a straight string alignment which enhances tuning stability and reduces any neck twisting effect.
• Ibanez Advantage™ bridge pins: Advantage™ pins are easier to take out and easier to put in than standard pins. A special bulb-shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far. Best of all, with Advantage™ the pin and string stay put.
