AEA KU5A End-address, unidirection ribbon microphone

AEA’s first end-address supercardioid ribbon mic, the KU5A, features the most focused directionality of any AEA ribbon mic that's come before. Although inspired by the RCA BK5's form factor, the KU5A delivers a vastly divergent sound character from that classic, with superior signal rejection from its sides and rear. It's equipped with active JFET electronics that provide flexibility with any preamp, plus it has an integrated, switchable high-pass filter for close-range recording, it's a true progression of modern ribbon technology. It’s low-profile and end-address directional traits make it simple to position and easy to work with.

The KU5A is perfectly equipped to bring studio sound to the live stage, both at outdoor festivals and indoor theaters alike. It includes integrated windscreen protection that prevents interference at windy venues and its active electronics enable versatile use with virtually any mixing board or audio interface.
