A superb microphone for acoustic instruments, such as piano, percussion, drums, acoustic guitar, strings, woodwinds, brass, and more, the KM 184 displays excellent off-axis behavior. The frequency-independent cardioid pickup pattern rejects sound originating from the rear (180°), including troublesome low frequencies. The 184's wide pickup angle, transparency, and off-axis performance make it perfect for stereo miking techniques. Use as the required mics for ORTF, AB, or XY configurations, or as the cardioid element in a mid-side set up.
