It offers numerous performance and tone-shaping tools accessible through old-school direct-access front panel controls combined with deep customization options via the BOSS Tone Studio. Loaded with a custom 12-inch Waza speaker developed by BOSS, it delivers the true character and response of a famous ’60s 25-watt British stack speaker updated with modern power-handling capabilities. The carefully tuned combo cabinet maximizes the amp’s potential, providing a smooth, punchy sound with a wide baffle and semi-closed design. Tube Logic technology recreates complex tube circuitry interactions with refined amp characters, including the iconic high-gain Brown type and the new touch-responsive Pushed character, each with a variation for 12 distinctive tones. Flip the Bloom switch to get a sharper attack with a dynamic low-end response that stays true at any volume thanks to the integrated Power Control. Designed to preserve that cranked-amp tone at all levels, the Power Control acts like a power soak, so you can laugh it off when someone yells, "Yo, turn it down"! The Katana Artist Gen 3 includes five simultaneous effect categories with enhanced sound quality, access to 15 unique effects, and a dedicated Solo section with a level boost and delay. BOSS Tone Studio offers further customization with 60 effect types and deep options not available from the amp’s panel. With the optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adapter (sold separately), you can wirelessly edit sounds at the gig using the BTS editor app on your smartphone. Eight Tone Setting memories, rear-panel jacks for remote control with footswitches, expression pedal, and MIDI, along with the GA-FC and GA-FC EX Foot Controllers (sold separately), provide optional stage control solutions, allowing you to switch Tone Settings, toggle effects, and integrate multiple expression pedals.
