Ideally suited for a broad array of speech and music sound reinforcement applications, the 2-way, full-range NuQ152 from Turbosound is a switchable passive/bi-amp 2,000 Watt 15" loudspeaker system that's engineered to work in concert with Turbosound's loudspeaker management systems. It provides optimal performance for front-of-house (FOH), sidefill and delay line loudspeakers, plus it's an outstanding choice for wedge monitoring applications as well. Its symmetrical trapezoidal shape and high frequency (HF) dispersion pattern also make it an obvious choice for mirrored left/right monitor wedge placement.
It features a carbon fiber-loaded 15" low frequency (LF) driver with an inside/outside wound low-mass voice coil for improved transient response, and an aluminium dome 1" neodymium high frequency compression driver mounted on a 70° horizontal by 70° vertical dispersion low distortion waveguide. All the unit's drivers are matched with an internal passive crossover network surrounded by a reflex-loaded enclosure, with bi-amp mode engaged by means of a switch located on the rear panel. Additionally, the rear panel connector plate carries Neutrik speakON® NL4 connectors, enabling input and link connections to additional enclosures (sold separately).
The cabinet comes finished in a highly-durable semi-matte black paint, is constructed from ⅝" (15mm) birch plywood, and includes a rugged, powder coated perforated-steel mesh grille backed with reticulated foam. Multiple threaded rigging points are also provided for suspension in any orientation, or for mounting with industry-standard wall brackets. An optional flying yoke allows for further flexibility in install applications (sold separately). The unit features a 35mm socket receptor for standard pole-mounting, plus integrated handles for convenient transport.
WARNING! Mounting and/or suspension of loudspeakers should be performed by experienced professionals following all safety protocols. The improper installation of a loudspeaker can result in property damage, personal injury and/or liability to the installing contractor. Proper installation is the responsibility of the person installing it.
