Westcott's 1820 4 ft x 6 ft Scrim Jim® Cine frame comes with (4) 46" heavy-duty tubes, (2) 22" heavy-duty tubes, (2) 2" spacers, (4) corner connectors, and a strap for storage. When used along with 4 ft x 6 ft Scrim Jim Cine fabrics (sold separately), it'll give you the capability to deflect, diffuse, block, and cut light either on-set and on-location. A complete modular framework, the Scrim Jim Cine is the ultimate light control system, providing photographers and filmmakers the ability to create and build various tools that may be required for whatever lighting conditions they may encounter.
Built from heavy-duty anodized aluminum, the innovative design has a durable, yet portable, lightweight form. Riveted to 2 sides of each tube, a heavy-duty touch fastener offers quick, effortless mounting of Scrim Jim Cine Fabrics, Flex Portable Softboxes, and Flex LED Mats (all sold separately). Also, an onboard 3/8-16 threaded receptacle on each Scrim Jim Cine frame tube provides instant mounting onto arms and stands.
Scrim Jim Cine Frames
Offering configuration options in sizes from 1 x 1 up to 8 x 8 (ft), Scrim Jim's Frame pieces vary in size from 10" tubes and upward. This allows users to fit an entire scrim system into a backpack or carry-on. Various available connection pieces give endless potential frame setups, letting users build diffusion boxes, v-flats, floppy cutters, book lights, and more with ease. Interchangeability with all Scrim Jim Cine Frame sets, Scrim Jim Cine tubes, connectors, and fabrics (sold separately) is also featured.
These frames and connectors are proudly built in the U.S.A. Product inspection and touch fastener installation is done at Lott Industries in Toledo, Ohio, which partners with the local Board of Developmental Disabilities to provide high-quality and engaging employment for individuals with mental disabilities.
