An 8-channel AES audio Embedder/Disembedder, AJA's 3G-AM-XLR supports 3G-SDI input and output up to 1080p-60, along with audio disembedding that is always functional, providing 4 AES outputs, and comes with a supplied XLR breakout cable for XLR connectivity. Its audio embedding is user-selectable to either pass 3G-SDI input audio or to embed input AES audio from the breakout cable, on a channel-pair basis. AES inputs feature sample rate conversion to a rate of 48KHz, synchronous to the video input. It's designed to automatically detect and configure to the input video standard.
You can use AJA's free Mini-Config software with any USB-enabled AJA Mini-Converter, which provides an easy-to-use graphical interface with detailed information regarding current I/O formats. You can control all the parameters of any supported AJA Mini-Converter, plus load firmware updates from AJA to add newer features and functionality.
All AJA Mini-Converters come with a universal power supply that has international plug connections to allow for implementation around the world.
Small enough to fit behind a monitor, in the back of a rack, or directly on a camera rig, AJA converters come with a locking power connector that can't accidentally pull loose. An optional P-TAP power cable (sold separately) allows for battery power in remote locations.
All Mini-Converter units are covered by a 5 year warranty and AJA's advanced replacement policy. If a replacement is needed, AJA will ship a new unit immediately without the need to send the original unit back first, which ensures that you are up and running again as soon as possible.
