DPA Microphones presents the 4018-DF-G-B01-015, part of their flexible gooseneck microphones series. It features the MMC4018 Microphone Capsule, which has a highly-directional supercardioid pickup pattern providing a smooth, uniform off-axis frequency response. This particular model comes with an industry standard XLR-3M connector, and is set up with a 20cm (approx. 8") full gooseneck which is a good length for mounting on a ceiling if desired.

This series is modular by design, meaning the components can be combined and reconfigured to best match your needs (various other components sold separately, contact your Sales Pro for more information).

The supercardioid pickup shape of the capsule is frequency independent, delivering identical sound pickup color all around the microphone. The usual rear polar pickup lobe that can be heard on most supercardioids is minimized when using this capsule, so there's much more acoustic isolation without sudden frequency-dependent peaks and dips.

At any time, and with no tools required, it's possible to alter the 4018 Supercardioid Microphone's configuration into a new one (additional capsules/preamplifiers sold separately). In addition to its state-of-the-art preamplifier design and sleek appearance, it also offers excellent radio frequency rejection via DPA-designed impedance balancing with active drive.
