Frequency agile, Audio-Technica's ATW-R3210 True Diversity receiver is part of their 4th generation 3000 Series of wireless systems. It comes equipped with an automatic frequency scanning function that eliminates the need to manually search for clear channels – automatically selecting the most appropriate frequency for use in its operational area. Its 25 kHz frequency spacing allows it to easily identify an open frequency from within crowded RF environments, while usable frequency selection within the multichannel wireless system is simplified using pre-coordinated frequency scan groups. Then, once selected, frequencies can be synced with transmitters using its IR sync functionality. The system's squelch setting can be configured for automatic adjustment, maximizing its range while minimizing potential interference. Enhanced interference rejection is accomplished thanks to the advanced digital Tone Lock™ squelch. Information on the transmitter's battery condition and mute status is conveyed back to the receiver for display also via the transmitter's Tone Lock signal. The receiver's dual-mode front panel display can switch between the 'standard' view, which provides continuous RF signal strength indication, frequency, audio modulation level of the received signal, mute status, and transmitter information, as well as a 'performance' view which highlights key metering. Settings can easily be adjusted using the control dial and BACK button on the unit's front panel. Settings are also lockable to prevent unwanted changes.
The receiver operates on 12 VDC and incorporates rear-panel connections for balanced XLR and unbalanced ¼" outputs, along with detachable BNC ¼" wave antennas. It has BNC-type connectors that offer switchable 12 VDC antenna power for powered antenna accessories. The receiver is a half-rack design for use within a standard 1U 19" rack-mount, and includes rack-mount adapters.
4th Generation 3000 Series
The fourth-generation 3000 Series frequency-agile UHF wireless systems give you the power and flexibility to operate within the congested UHF spectrum, offering rock-solid, latency-free, high-fidelity RF audio performance. Each system offers a 60 MHz tuning bandwidth in one of two (2) available frequency bands: DE2, 470.125–529.975 MHz or EE1, 530.000–589.975 MHz. These systems feature high-sensitivity, dual-conversion True Diversity operation with silent automatic switching for dropout-free performance. An OLED screen for convenient visual indication of settings and operating information work in concert with easy-to-use controls to allow for quick access and adjustment to a large range of functions.

Audio Technica has not fixed a problem with the 3000 series that has always existed. If you mount these in a rack with other brands of wireless (shure, Senn), you get noise and hiss on the audio inputs of a balanced input mixer with a transformerless input that is mounted in the same rack. The problem goes away when you insert a Jensen transformer. The ground lift switch makes it worse. This did not happen with the 4000 series and Shure and Sennheiser mics work together in the same rack.
