The 4166-OC-F-F00-LE is a part of DPA Microphones' 4166 series of Flex Earset mics. This series of earset microphones from DPA leads the market when it comes to head-worn microphones, by combining absolute pristine audio quality with unique and simple mechanical solutions along side an extensive accessory line. This particular model is an omnidirection mic that comes in beige, has a 110mm boom, and includes a foam windscreen, a set of ID rings and cover, clothing clip, and MicroDot cable termination. This MicroDot termination enables connection with wireless transmitters from all leading professional audio manufacturers via an appropriate and compatible adapter (see "Adapter system offers you Flexibility" section below).

Ergonomically designed to fit easily and seamlessly, the 4166 will adjust to fit any ear size and head shape while hardly visible and securely mounted on either ear. The earset variant is the quickest to put on and often the best choice when miking needs to be fast and easy for example for conference use. The mic can be moved from the left to the right ear, or into the optimum position just by rotating the boom and earhook.

The 4166 omni microphone is sensitive to sound from all directions which makes the positioning of the headset less critical and enables placement by untrained personnel; truly a plug-and-play solution for any situation. Staying true to the DPA legacy, you'll enjoy natural voice intelligibility along with very high SPL handling capabilities – one can both speak and sing into it with no hint of distortion.

While the omni microphone is generally not sensitive to wind, breathing, or handling noise, intensive protection against pop/wind noise is integrated into the microphone design and windscreens are included. Also included is a cable clip that anchors the cable to your clothing, and a color-coded ID ring and cover to help provide easy recognition of a specific headset among many.

A service connector splits the cable from the microphone boom and allows for quick exchange of cable lengths/colors/connectors; valuable for servicing if a cable is damaged.
