The Samson XPD2 USB Digital Wireless System brings the convenience of wireless to your computer recordings and beyond. With a wireless receiver built into a USB stick and a beltpack transmitter, with a LM5 lavelier, the Stage XPD2 allows you to wirelessly record audio straight to your Mac/PC and favorite digital audio software.
Ideal for wireless presentations, podcasting, YouTube performances, karaoke video games, voice over projects and much more, this simple setup gives you professional full-range audio. The RXD2 USB stick receiver connects directly to PC or Mac computers, or with any Samson Expedition Series Portable PA System that features a USB Wireless port. An added feature from the previous generation system, the 1/8" (3.5mm) output allows for headphone monitoring or the XPD2 Handheld to be used with any device that has an analog line input, including smartphones and other mobile devices.*
The XPD2 Wireless system delivers high-quality audio using digital transmission. This type of wireless technology allows the transmitter to send an uncompressed signal to the receiver, so your audio will have greater signal-to-noise when compared to a traditional wireless system. The result is a performance that sounds as good as using a wired microphone.
Additionally, the Stage XPD2 is the perfect accessory for expanding the Samson Expedition Series Portable PA Systems that include USB wireless ports, for full range wireless capability in live applications. XPD2 operates in the license-free 2.4GHz frequency band, is extremely fast and easy to setup and with 100 feet of operating range (environment dependent) the system provides plenty of room to work wirelessly.
Note: *To connect to an iOS device you will need to use Apple's Lightning to USB Camera adapter. To connect to an Android device, you will need a host OTG adapter.

Considering the price, it works! The range is limited to 100 feet, as stated, though in real life likely less. There is a tiny gain adjustment built into the transmitter, which I've not had a chance to experiment with much yet. The cable is long enough that the lapel mic can easily connect to the transmitter when worn. The cable is very tiny, and to be handled with care. The clip is strong, and has a couple of sponge pads on one side holding the cable, which makes it hard to squeeze open.
