Atlas IED DD87W-HC 8" In-Ceiling Coaxial Speaker

A high-performance coaxial loudspeaker package, the DD87W-HC from AtlasIED delivers performance specifications that are identical to the legendary AtlasIED model C803A. This sonic-quality similarity ensures that existing C803A systems may be expanded with this newer mocel without any noticeable sonic or performance differences.

It's features a 45 Hz -19 kHz (nominal) frequency response and a broad, uniform dispersion pattern of 105° (2 kHz octave band), and combines a full-size 8" (203mm) diameter, low-frequency reproducer along with a 3" (76 mm) high-frequency reproducer. The 2 sections are coupled using an integrated crossover network. The woofer is equipped with a 10 oz. (260 g) ceramic magnet and the tweeter has a 2.35 oz. (67 g) ceramic magnet. The unit has an average sensitivity of 96 dB (1 W/1m). It's matched with a high-efficiency 8 Watt 70.7V transformer with a maximum insertion loss of 0.6 dB. This premium transformer is constructed of audio grade laminations and has a full range frequency response of +1 dB from 50 Hz - 15 kHz. The primary taps are 1, 2, 4, and 8 Watts.

Finally, the DD87W-HC includes a factory-installed 62-8 style CRS baffle with concealed speaker mounting studs and includes screw-mount hardware. The baffle finish is a white powder coat epoxy and is finished with an application of AtlasIED proprietary Hyfidrophobic™ treatment that's moisture-resistant, allowing the unit to be used in high-moisture environments.
