With reduced current draw and new generation signal processing, you'll notice a flat frequency and phase response resulting in superior transients and precise stereo imaging. Amazingly, the upgrade didn't increase the footprint, these cabinets actually weigh 13lbs. less than the previous models, making them easier to fly and move.

Meyer Sound's legendary power-to-size ratio and smooth, uniform coverage are on full display with the UPQ-D3-WP-3. The D3 is the ultra-wide coverage model of the UPQ family. It has inherited the natural, consistent, high-frequency dispersion and gentle side roll-off that characterizes the series. This results in a gradual but expected change in what the listener hears as they move about the room, which in turn makes for more predictable system design. Designers will also appreciate being able to derive 2250W of high and mid-range coverage from a 2-way vented cabinet measuring roughly 19" x 28" x 18".
