Along with the mono version of this mic (AEA N8, sold separately), it features the widest frequency range of any other AEA microphone, so you know you'll capture the whole soundscape in all its integrity. In addition, this active version, which runs on standard phantom power, offers an additional 12 dB of output, allowing you to choose the best preamp based on quality and not simply headroom.
