Bring the legendary sonic quality of Focusrite to your projects. With eight classic Focusrite mic pres and Lundahl transformers on each input, the ISA 828 MKII delivers the sound heard around the world since 1985. The original ISA pres were commissioned by George Martin. He asked Rupert Neve to design a mic pre and EQ for the console at Air Studios Montserrat, and the rest is pure music gold and platinum.
Choose mic or line input on any of the eight channels or plug instruments directly into the front panel 1/4" jacks. Variable impedance controls provide a range of subtly different sonic options when using microphones, including an 'ISA 110' setting, which replicates the impedance of that original Focusrite mic pre.
An enormous 80db gain range allows you to capture stunning dynamic reality while a high-pass filter with an 18dB per octave roll-off minimizes any low-frequency noise transfer that reaches your microphone. Six-segment front panel LED meters provide at-a-glance level verification. The 828 MKII even has switchable insert points so you can break out your favorite in-line compressors, EQs, and more.
Engineered for permanent rack installation, the ISA 828 has dedicated connectors for all mic and line sources so there's no digging around behind the unit to switch inputs.
