The SoundBird V1 is a Professional shotgun mic that comes complete with a suite of accessories that allow you to capture broadcast-quality audio out of the box.

SoundBird's supercardioid pattern provides strong rear and side sound rejection, capturing clear focused audio, even at a distance. All brass construction is extremely durable and helps to reduce radio frequency interference. The V1 can be powered by external phantom power or a single AA battery and the on/off switch illuminates in specific colors to let you know which source you're using.

Integrated controls let you configure the SoundBird so that it's adaptable to virtually any situation. A low-cut button tames unruly HVAC rumble, footsteps, or the idling truck in the alley. Since all sources vary, Saramonic added a -10dB pad to reduce the level at input and stop distortion before it happens, just as it should be. Best of all, SoundBird saves the settings when the mic is power cycled.

The V1 comes with an adjustable shock mount to eliminate transferred or handling noise, a foam windscreen to reduce wind interference, and a 2-foot XLR cable that's ideal for connecting to a camera when SoundBird is mounted.
