Product Overview

With the release of the URSA Broadcast G2 Camera with Fujinon LA16x8BRM-XB1A lens, Blackmagic delivers the world's most affordable and flexible professional broadcast camera. The Broadcast G2 operates as a 4K production camera, a 4K studio camera, or 6K digital film camera.

Compatible with the lenses and batteries you already own, the G2 even lets you change the lens mount so you can incorporate any lens. the URSA Broadcast G2 also favors common file formats found on traditional cameras. It records to standard SD cards using the same file formats found on broadcast media management systems and most Non-linear Editing (NLE) software. Less money spent, a reduced learning curve, and broadcast-ready files. the URSA G2 fits comfortably into your workflow, whatever it is.

Blackmagic designed URSA Broadcast G2 to fit into your current production system without updating everything you own. All connections use standard broadcast connectors so you don't need expensive, proprietary cables that are hard to find and expensive to replace.

ENG (Electronic News Gathering) controls are located around the camera so you can find them by feel and the low light sensor captures stunning images using only natural light making it an ideal broadcast partner. Live studio work benefits from an advanced YRGB color corrector built-in, a full remote camera control, and with BlackMagic focus and zoom demands (sold separately) you can control the lens from tripod handles.

The integrated 6K digital film sensor, high dynamic range with exceptional low light performance delivers Hollywood quality footage. With a resolution of 6144 x 3456 and the ability to swap lens mounts, you can get a 4K window of the sensor for UHD broadcast use or full 6K for digital film. And you can record direct to an external USB flash disk (sold separately) from the high-speed USB-C port and eliminate wasted time copying files for editing and color correction.

Video this good demands audio to match and the URSA Broadcast G2 delivers. A built-in high-quality stereo microphone and professional audio recorder allow you to arrive on location and get to work without having to carry and hook up external sound equipment. Of course, URSA's flexible design includes two XLR microphone connections complete with switchable 48V phantom power so you can use dynamic or condenser microphones. You can record a reporter in the field wearing a lapel or handheld mic, while also capturing ambient sounds from the second input. You can also record the same microphone to both channels using different levels to avoid clipping from unexpected loud noises in the field.

Fujinon designed the LA16x8BRM lens specifically for the URSA Broadcast G2 camera with its professional 4K resolution. A professional 2/3" mount lens, the LA16x8BRM like the URSA, is suited for both ENG in the field and studio use featuring electronic back focus adjustment and macro function in the front ring.

Capture it as it happens, the right way, your way, with the URSA Broadcast G2 Camera with Fujinon LA16x8BRM-XB1A lens.
