The full-frame 24.2-megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor features a back-illuminated design and works in tandem with the BIONZ X image processor to provide high-resolution stills and video with minimal noise and improved speed. Additionally, the sensor's gapless on-chip lens design and anti-reflection coating enhance light collection and detail. With a copper wiring layer that significantly improves data transmission speed, this camera produces 14-bit, high-resolution stills with a native sensitivity range from ISO 100-51200, expandable up to ISO 50-204800.
