Yamaha's MGX16-CV 12 RU 4 bus stereo mixer features 8 mono, 2 mono/stereo, and 2 stereo input channels for a total of 16 simultaneous inputs. You also get 24 integrated SPX effects and 8 channels of 1-knob compression in a rugged portable chassis. The MGX16-CV can accommodate XLR, 1/4", and RCA inputs that can be routed to XLR and 1/4" outs and there's also a dedicated headphone output for monitoring.
The first 10 channels are loaded with Yamaha D-Pre Class A preamps and 80Hz high-pass filters for pristine signal capture with no low-end distractions. These inputs also have 3-band EQ plus switchable phantom power allowing the use of condenser or dynamic microphones.
If you need to capture loud sources like guitar amps, simply engage the 26dB pad on channels 1-8 to remove the possibility of input overload. Channels 1 thru 8 also feature integrated 1-knob compression that streamlines adjustment and yields consistent professional results. 4 stereo 1/4" and 2 RCA line inputs provide additional flexibility for connecting keyboards, samplers, playback devices, and other gear.
Once the audio has been captured, 24 SPX effects await deployment to enhance and add personality to your production. From reverb and delay to distortion and pitch change, it's all there for you to explore and create. The channels have dedicated FX sends with a master return providing a high degree of control over the effect in the mix. And you can brush off those vintage rack effects because the MG10X-CV also has 4 external Aux sends.
Output is provided by stereo XLR and TRS jacks for connection to a PA or powered monitors. There's an additional pair of TRS outputs and 4 group outputs you can use to send the mix to recorders, amplifiers, powered stage monitors, and more. A headphone output with dedicated level control makes it easy to diagnose issues in noisy environments or verify settings and adjustments.
