Product Overview

Designed and manufactured in Viena, the OC7 instrument microphone is ideally suited for use on instruments that have lively, complex transients, including percussion of all kinds, including piano, acoustic guitar, and string instruments. Transients communicate an instrument's identifiable character, and the OC7 delivers. A three-micron thick gold-coated polyethylene naphthalate (pen) diaphragm is much more robust than conventional Mylar alternatives, allowing it to withstand high sound pressure levels while exhibiting an extremely low self noise. The result is a microphone with an impressive dynamic range that captures everything from a whisper to a scream with stunning accuracy. Never harsh, always natural, the OC7 delivers silky smooth mids and highs and controlled supportive low end, so the sound you hear is the sound you get.
