Weighted Strings is a sample library comprised of two handcrafted experimental instruments, the Weighted Lyre and Weighted Zither. Created by master instrument inventor Bart Hopkin, these instruments use small weights on the strings to produce unusual and beautiful sounds. The wood and metal composition of the instruments gives them a rich tonal character with bright accentuation on the plucked notes. The Lyre has 17 main strings and 3 additional fretted strings, while the Zither has 34 chromatically tuned main strings. Each instrument offers unique and interesting sounds, all captured with three stereo mic positions to provide limitless possibilities. The library includes a wide selection of custom FX presets and signature sound-designed ambient content for complete creative freedom.

The full retail version of NI Kontakt 6.2.2 or later is required for operation and is sold separately.
