Instead of a Threshold control, it uses the Input Gain knob to achieve the desired compression level, providing a natural, musical feel. The compressor features a three-step toggle switch for Attack Time, a side-chain low-cut filter with two frequencies, and toggle switches for Bypass and Link. Its punchy and detailed sound is generated by Fredenstein's proprietary Reverse-Mancini FET architecture, an advanced OPA2 discrete Audio Operational Amplifier, and a vintage-style American steel core output transformer. The LED bar-graph meter displays gain reduction from 1dB to 16 dB. With virtually no interaction between the Attack, Release, and Threshold control.
