Fredenstein F610-EQUALIZER UE-1 500 Series Stereo 4-Band Parametric Equalizer

The Fredenstein F610 Universal Entzerrer UE-1 is a digital-controlled stereo analog quad-band equalizer and 30-band spectrum analyzer, designed as a double-wide 500 series module.

Featuring a high-resolution 3.5” LCD color display with capacitive touch control, the F610 introduces modern functionality to the 500 Series. Each of the four identical filters covers a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with approximately 190 frequency points accessible via the encoder rotary knob. A USB interface offers precise 1 Hz frequency resolution. Maximum filter gain is ±16 dB, expandable to ±64 dB with multiple filters set at the same frequency. The Q-factor adjusts from 0.4 to 7.9, meeting the demands of sophisticated mastering applications.

Filter characteristics include band-pass for Filter 1 and low-shelf or high-shelf for Filter 4. Additional features include a variable 2nd order low-cut filter (20 Hz to 975 Hz) and a "Color" function for achieving tube-like sound. A hard bypass facilitates quick evaluation of EQed results.

The 30-band spectrum analyzer boasts a 60 dB dynamic range, with selectable sensitivity from +6 dBu to +24 dBu in 6 dB increments. Users can analyze either input or output signals, enhancing versatility. Up to 99 complete settings can be stored in internal non-volatile memory, and a Micro-USB interface allows comprehensive control from a connected host computer via RS232 over USB.

Named in homage to the classic K&H UE-100, "Entzerrer" signifies its German technical term for equalizer, reflecting its robust feature set and advanced capabilities.
