Product Overview
The Leader LV5350 Waveform Monitor is a compact, space-efficient device designed for monitoring SDI signals up to 12G-SDI at 4K resolution, including SDI embedded audio. It features a 7" touchscreen display housed in a 3 RU enclosure and supports both AC and DC power, as well as an optional battery power supply. The front panel includes buttons, knobs, and a USB input for mouse control.
This monitor also includes an SDI signal generator for verifying equipment and signal paths from HD to 12G-SDI. It assesses both SDR and HDR content, including HDR Cinezone with false color highlights. The CIE display facilitates quick checks of content within BT.709, BT.2020, or DCI P3 color spaces, while the focus assist function ensures accurate focus in challenging lighting conditions.

- Transmission-Quality Analysis Function
- The unit monitors various transmission errors and supports external synchronization, phase difference display, lip sync measurement, SDI signal frequency deviation, and enhanced ancillary data analysis.
- Video Analysis Function
- It provides waveform, vector, picture, 5 BAR, CIE chromaticity, diagram display, and CINELITE functions. It detects freeze errors, black errors, and gamut errors, and includes video signal quality control (QoE).
- Voice Analysis Function
- Displays audio signals, SDI signals, and audio over SDI on a level meter. Features include Lissajous display, mute, clip error detection, and L-PCM audio format compatibility.
- Subtitles and Closed Captioning
- Supports subtitle/closed caption decoding, including Japanese subtitles, CEA-608, CEA-708 closed captioning, and Teletext. OP47 subtitles over SDI signals can be decoded and displayed.
- External Synchronization Signal Input
- Graphically confirms phase difference and synchronization status of SDI video signals based on external synchronization signals (black burst, tri-level sync).
- Customizable Layout
- Allows flexible positioning and sizing of video signal waveforms, vector waveforms, and input signal pictures.
- SDI Signal Generation Function
- Supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, and 12G-SDI single link. Includes simplified UHDTV multiformat color bars, moving box overlays, embedded audio, and flat-field patterns. Note: 4K format is limited to 12G-SDI.
- Screen Capture Function
- Captures display screens as still images and records 16 frames of data. Captured images can be saved in BMP format and viewed on a PC.
- Time Code Display
- Displays time codes superimposed on SDI signals and can be used as event log timestamps.
- External Remote Terminal
- Allows recall of presets via contact terminals and enables signal switching, tally displays, and alarm outputs.
- Ethernet Terminal
- Supports remote operation via TELNET, file transfer via FTP, SNMP operation, alarm notifications, and browser-based remote monitoring via HTTP.
- SDI Signal Data Analysis Function
- Includes CRC and embedded sound error detection, event log, data dump, phase difference measurements, and SDI signal analysis.
- HDR Analysis
- Monitors HDR signal levels and OOTF, with video signal waveform display on the HDR scale. HDR areas are colored by brightness, with easy identification in the cine zone display.
- Focus Assist
- Utilizes nonlinear super-resolution technology to detect focus in low-contrast images, with five sensitivity levels available.
- Tally Display
- Supports fast tally display switching via remote terminal, with customizable camera ID channel names.
- Reclock Signal
- Provides reclocked outputs of input SDI signals, which can be switched or reclocked.
- Synchronization Condition
- Ensures synchronization with the video clock for all input SDI signals.
- Embedded Audio Analysis
- Displays up to 8 channels from one SDI signal and 4 channels from two SDI signals, complying with SMPTE ST 299 and 272 standards.
- CIE Display Function
- Displays chromaticity diagrams for ITU-R BT.601, BT.709, and BT.2020 colorimetry. Supports CIE 1931 (xy) and CIE 1976 (u'v') displays, allowing color gamut comparison and chromaticity point measurement.
- HDR Zone Display
- Easily confirms HDR luminance distribution, with HDR areas colored by brightness and upper limit values in magenta. Supports WFM and histogram association with HDR scale for scene linearity editing.
