The IG6s2M replaces the original IG6 model and features Generation 2 Metal Diaphragm Technology, offering a lighter and stiffer cone than the original MDT version. This upgrade results in a 3dB increase in sensitivity across a broad range and over 4dB in the midrange, providing easier amplification and enhanced sound with a more open midrange and improved vocal presence. Like all NEAR speakers, the IG6s2M is truly weatherproof, designed for full exposure to the elements. The IG enclosure, made from color-through Linear Low-Density Polyethylene, resists moisture, dirt, and chemicals. The UV-inhibiting pigments are embedded uniformly to prevent fading or yellowing from sunlight and to withstand wear from garden tools.
