The Squiggly-Amejewar is a unique wooden instrument with four seven-foot strings and a buzzing bridge, producing a distinctive sound through its complex and evolving tonal effects. Played with a flat-sided slide, the instrument offers a range of buzzing effects, creating a multifaceted and variegated tone.

Inspired by traditional instruments like the Indian sitar, tamboura, and Kenyan obokano, Squiggly-Amejewar combines these influences with its own distinctive, sometimes raunchy timbre. It features two recording styles: straight, highlighting the evolving spectrum of buzzing overtones, and modulated, which includes subtle slide manipulation effects.

The collection includes samples from three stereo mic positions—Close, Pickups, and Contact mics—offering Plucks, Glisses, and FX in four layers with up to 8x round robin and 6 velocity layers per note. It also features custom FX presets and ambient sound-designed content for extensive creative possibilities.

The Kontakt interface provides comprehensive sound-shaping controls, including swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse and fine), articulation switching, cross-fading, and layering.

The library features an adaptable LFO system with selectable LFO shapes, modulation targets, speed, intensity, tempo-sync, and fade-in time. It includes 12 filters (low-pass, high-pass, and FX) with assignable modulation targets like velocity, modwheel, expression, after-touch, key position, and step-sequencer control. The customizable arpeggiator offers a velocity table and controls for arp direction, timing, swing, randomization, and duration. A key and scale lock system is included for easy melodic composition and live performance.

The modular FX rack panel includes 27 DSP effect modules, such as phaser, flanger, delay, distortion, amp simulators, compressors, and EQ, which can be arranged in any order across 8 slots. The Reverb effect features 99 convolution reverb impulse responses for various environments and 40 custom FX impulses, with a selection of factory presets to help you get started.
