Product Overview
A tile-bridge distributes the weight of a speaker assembly to the ceiling support structure in a suspended 2x2 or 2x4 tile ceiling, minimizing tile sag and preserving the installation's aesthetics. Often mandated by local building codes for safety, the LBS8 tile-bridge can be used with or without a backbox, depending on local regulations and the speaker's style and weight.
Lowell LBS8 Includes
- Compatibility: Supports standard 8" speaker assemblies with screw-mount grilles, with or without a backbox. Refer to page two for compatible components.
- Seismic Anchoring: Wire holes at each corner enable seismic anchoring as required by code.
- Twist ‘n Lock Feature: Facilitates hardware-free mounting for round enclosures (e.g., IX810, 8XD4 Series, XCP8 Series). Align the backbox with the bridge tabs, push down, and twist to lock in place.
