AMT SP25B Electret-Condenser Microphone for Acoustic Bass with Side-Mounting Clamp and "Super" Preamp

The AMT SP25B is Applied Microphone Technology's microphone original side clamping system for acoustic basses. It is designed, manufactured by hand, and distributed by AMT in the USA. The system is intended to clamp onto the side of a bass allowing for quick and easy removal for traveling or when the microphone is no longer needed. An adjustable clamp allows for different sized instruments.

The systems are an electret-condenser microphone that has been designed specifically for acoustic bass. All of the parameters that are problematic for the double bass have been addressed. The system requires 1 XLR mic level output. The preamp for the microphone is rugged anodized aviation aluminum, which houses the electronics that can be placed on the floor.

The preamp is powered by battery or phantom power. The output is terminated with a male XLR-type connector for balanced use. The mic is connected to the pre-amp by a four pin locking connector. Comes with AP40 Floor Preamp with 1 XLR Output, mounting system, and hard shell case.

The SP25B comes complete with the AMT Super Preamp, case, and AMT disconnecting cable. Intended to sit on the floor, the SP preamp has both an XLR and 1/4" line driver output which could be used at the same time. Phantom power, an optional (sold separately) power supply, or a 9-volt battery required.
