The 4188 line is a great choice when it comes to headworn microphones as it combines absolute pristine audio quality with unique and simple mechanical solutions as well as an extensive accessory line. This particular model is a beige-colored headset cardioid mic that comes with an extra-long 120mm boom and includes a foam windscreen, a set of ID rings and makeup cover, a clothing clip, with a fixed Mini-Jack connector, for use with Sennheiser Evolution/G2/G3/D1, X2 Digital Wireless, Audio Ltd En2 Transmitter (wireless systems sold separately).

This series is ergonomically designed to fit easily and seamlessly and will adjust to fit any ear size and head shape while hardly visible and securely mounted. Earset style mics are the quickest to put on and often the best choice when miking needs to be fast and easy, e.g., when in conference use. The microphone can be moved from the left to the right ear, or into the optimum position just by rotating the boom and earhook.

A service connector splits the cable from the microphone boom and allows for a quick exchange of cable lengths/colors/connectors; valuable for servicing if a cable is damaged.
