With the ATND971a boundary mic, Audio-Technica has now bridged the gap between audio and IT. It's a true Network Microphone, and is among the first wired mics that can transmit both audio and control data together over the Dante™ network protocol. A true audio/IT convergence, this mic is easy to install and operate via a simple Ethernet connection, and not only delivers the superior audio you'd expect from A-T, with remarkable speech intelligibility and transparent sound quality, but can also transmit control data to communicate across a network of Dante-enabled devices. Using its onboard, programmable user switch, it enables users to -for example- trigger a video camera’s pan/tilt, or recall lighting presets or control anything else on the network at the push of a button. Plus, with its Red/Green LED indicator, the microphone can visually convey mute status, incoming phone calls or other creative visual effects utilizing a control system. It's an exceptional fit for boardrooms as well as other meeting spaces, and since Dante can support up to 512 bidirectional audio channels, Network Microphones offer an easily scalable solution.
It comes equipped with an interchangeable cardioid-pattern mic element with 2 other optional elements available: omnidirectional and hypercardioid.
This latest “a” version also offers plug-and-play compatibility with AES67 networks, including those that utilize Livewire, RAVENNA and Q-LAN AoIP technologies, and increases the Dante Domain Manager features, adding role-based security, cross-subnet routing, SNMP alerts and more.
Dante™ Networking Technology
Has now become a standard in the professional audio industry. A true plug-and-play solution, Dante uses standard Internet protocols to distribute digital audio and control data with very low latency. Network Microphones exploit Dante’s advantages to provide a powerful audio solution that’s easy to implement, use and expand.
