The 4062 Miniature Omnidirectional Microphone, Extreme SPL is sensitivity adjusted to match extremely loud sound pressure levels. With the correct power source, the microphone handles sound pressure levels up to 154 dB before 10% THD occurs. This makes it ideal for close-miking extremely loud sound sources. It is often used to mic the engine compartment of cars or directly on the exhaust pipes.
