Atlas IED IED1544BAS 4ch Backup Amplifier Switching Module

The 1544BAS serves as a module for backup amplifier switching, providing the capability to seamlessly transition up to four (4) speaker loads from a primary power amplifier to a secondary backup source when a failure event is detected. In autonomous operation, the module utilizes logic outputs originating from the primary amplifier to initialize the switching procedure for each distinct channel, directing the signal flow to the backup amplifier. Alternatively, within the framework of network control, the switching protocol is coordinated by the supervision sub-system of the IED GLOBALCOM® system. This mode of network control facilitates the deployment of multiple 1544BAS units for synchronized switching of multiple primary amplifiers onto a solitary backup amplifier unit. In this setup, the entire switching logic is managed through network commands, resulting in the inactivity of the logic inputs.
