Cherry Audio Elka-X Synthesizer Inspired by Synthex [Virtual]

Cherry Audio's Elka-X synthesizer faithfully replicates the revered Synthex, an Italian analog synthesizer from the early 1980s. It captures the original's unique character while enhancing features, all at an accessible price. The Synthex boasted stable digitally-controlled analog oscillators and a versatile four-pole multimode filter, distinct from contemporaries. It featured a diverse filter range and a robust onboard analog chorus. Despite its merits, ELKA's focus on home organs limited its impact. Notable users included Stevie Wonder, Geoff Downes, Keith Emerson, Nick Rhodes, Peter Howell, and Jean-Michel Jarre, the latter utilizing it extensively, notably for the famed "laser harp" sound.

• Two part multitimbral operation: two different patches simultaneously playable, in either a keyboard split or stacked layer mode, with user-specified split point and discrete controls for layer volume and panning
• 16 polyphonic voices which can be layered or split across the keyboard
