The Fredenstein Bento 6DS 500-Series Rack features an internal power supply that uses a standard IEC power cord, eliminating the need for "wall-warts." Key upgrades over third-party products include:
- Universal Internal Power Supply: Accepts mains voltages from 90 to 240V, 50 to 60 Hz.
- Output Currents: Provides +/-16V DC 1.5A and +48V DC 0.2A (500mA per slot). Fredenstein’s power supplies are exceptionally reliable, solid, and low noise, designed to handle heavy capacitive loads.
- Color LCD Display: Monitors power-supply status, including voltages, currents, and temperature. Displays operating parameters for certain Fredenstein modules (e.g., F600A, F601A, F602, F603A/B, F607).
- Auxiliary Audio Inputs/Outputs and Built-in Audio Routing: Modules can be daisy-chained and compressor modules linked via the LCD menu.
- Multi-Layer Backplane: Enhances signal integrity and reduces noise floor, with gold contact connectors.
- Solid Mechanical Construction: Features precision metalwork.
- Ground-lift Switch: Allows disconnection of the audio ground from the protective ground to address ground loops, to be used only if absolutely necessary.
