Dirty tracks? Clean them with the Pure Expander. Expansion increases your dynamic range allowing you to push unwanted noise below the threshold. It's ideal for removing extraneous noise, reverb, leakage from drums, or other microphone bleed, and can also be used for hard gating. By reducing gain below the threshold, you're afforded full control over the material, making it easy to tighten up and de-clutter a mix. In addition to the common ratio, attack, and release controls, Pure Expander offers control over the fundamental characteristics of the dynamics processing so you can fine-tune the reaction to any situation. Unique parameters like Dynamics Ratio and Level Independent Detection (L.I.D) use the dynamic range content of the signal for precise processing. Its built-in MS encoder/decoder splits the stereo signal into Middle and Side components, allowing detailed control over stereo width. With support for up to sixteen channels in multichannel surround configurations, Pure Expander provides flexibility to bypass processing on any channel, preserving that track's original sound. The built-in preset manager and preset morphing slider offer instant, intuitive control over all parameters, enabling on-the-fly adjustments even during playback.

• Auto delay function allowing for zero attack times by introducing a delay line in the processed signal
• M/S Width for controlling the stereo width of the processed signal
• Link Channel, provides linked/unlinked processing (in M/S mode)
• True bypass control routing the incoming signal direct to the output for a smooth transition between clean and processed signal
• Side chain section featuring a three-band equalizer to generate frequency sensitive processing
• External side-chain available in AU (Mac OS X) and AAX Native & DSP (Mac OS X & Windows) only
• Input/Output gain controls for adjusting the levels before and after processing.
