Golden Age Project EQ-73 Premier Premier 1073-Style Vintage Single-Channel EQ, 1/2-Rack Chassis

The EQ-73 PREMIER is a high-quality, class-A equalizer inspired by Neve's 1073 module, delivering a tone that's rough around the edges with a pleasing center and sits well in any mix. While it maintains the core frequencies and sound profile of the original, the PREMIER extends its versatility by expanding the frequency range to cover from 20 Hz to 24 kHz. 

The EQ-73 PREMIER features a three-band design: the low and high bands offer shelving controls, while the mid band uses a bell curve for precise adjustments. The mid band uses dual inductors to ensure optimal response at 160 Hz and 240 Hz. Each band can be individually bypassed, offering a control range of ±15 dB for the lower bands and ±18 dB for the high frequencies. 

Usable as a standalone EQ or paired with Golden Age Premier and Project preamps (sold separately) via an insert jack, it allows you to create a complete 1073-style 19” rack setup inside a UNITE rack kit (sold separately. With its classic, flexible design, the EQ-73 PREMIER brings timeless analog character to modern setups at an accessible price.

• Vintage style electronics. No integrated circuits in the main signal path
• 3-band with a dual inductor based mid frequency band and stepped frequency selection
• A wide selection of frequencies from 20 Hz to 24 kHz and a control range of up to +/- 18 dB
• Separate bypass switches for each band
• Two UK made Carnhill inductors in the midrange section
• Tantalum capacitors in the main signal path, polystyrene capacitors in the gain stages
• Burr Brown OPA 2602 IC used for the balanced output stage
• Soldered internal connections
• Can be used together with one of our preamp´s with an insert jack or as a standalone unit
• TRS jack for the INSERT mode in- and output connection, the nominal working level is around -18 dBu
