Harnessing a unique optical design that introduces a nuanced look as the lens aperture approaches its maximum setting, the Sumire CN-E24mm T1.5 FP X Prime lens subtly modifies the textural renderings of the human facial close-up with gentle and beautiful skin tones. It also smooths the transition to the fall-off portions of the scene resulting in a pleasing bokeh, adding emotional expressiveness to your next memorable scene with greater depth of field. The careful crafting of the textural rendering of facial close-ups applies to all faces – of all ethnicities, ages and gender.
Intended for the working professional, the Sumire Prime CN-E24mm T1.5 FP X lens has markings on angled surfaces on both sides of the barrel, making it easy to read focus and aperture settings from behind or from either side of the camera. Focus markings can even be switched from standard labeling to metric. The control rings are engineered to maintain the proper amount of resistance with consistent operating torque.
Designed to fulfill contemporary 4K production standards, Sumire features a full-frame imaging circle in a lightweight, compact design. This phenomenal lens is ideal for any number of applications. It also features an 11-blade aperture diaphragm for beautiful background blur and innovative glass construction that counteracts barrel expansion and contraction to avoid temperature induced marking discrepancies. The use of an odd number of iris blades also helps to diffuse light rays and produce what is generally considered a more sought after, artistically pleasing and cinematic look with warmer colors. The lenses also achieves uniform color balance throughout the lineup, helping to reduce the need for post grading, even when a production is frequently changing lenses.
Sharing the same gear position, front diameter and rotation angle, the Sumire lenses' compatibility with third-party accessories allows crews to easily change lenses without making adjustments to the rig setup. The Sumire Prime Lenses are compatible with the complete lineup of Canon Cinema EOS full-frame and Super 35mm 4K cameras, including the EOS C700 FF, EOS C300 Mark II and EOS C200. In addition to Canon cameras, the new lenses are also compatible with the latest full-frame and Super 35mm PL-mount cameras from leading manufacturers.
