For gentle, beautiful skin tones complimented with a smoother-looking focus fall off, the Sumire Prime CN-E135mm T2.2 FP X lens offers a compact, consistent design and proven Canon lens elements for performance and reliability in professional shooting environments. Drawing inspiration from Sumire (pronounced “Soo-mee-ray”) a Japanese flower, and like the petals of a flower, the Sumire series of Canon prime lenses are most beautiful when fully opened.

Featuring bright T-stops, reduced focus breathing and uniform color balance across the series – the CN-E135mm T2.2 FP X Sumire Prime will breath new life into your images. The 11-bladed iris provides circular and natural bokeh while diffusing the light rays from intense highlights. In combination with the unique new Sumire look of smoother-looking focus fall off at wider aperture settings, the cinematographer has access to a broader range of visual expression. This combination adds emotional expressiveness to a memorable scene. The Sumire Prime gently rolls in the special Sumire look of the lens when the aperture approaches its wider settings. Texture, color and contrast are subtly woven into the image's Sumire look. A look will apply to all faces – of all ethnicities, ages and gender.

The Sumire Prime CN-E135mm T2.2 FP X lens has markings on angled surfaces on both sides of the barrel, making it easy to read focus and aperture settings from behind or from either side of the camera. Focus markings can even be switched from standard labeling to metric. The control rings are engineered to maintain the proper amount of resistance with consistent operating torque.

The highly durable Sumire Prime lenses features the same outstanding operability and reduced focus breathing as Canon’s well-established EF-Mount Cinema Prime Lenses. Manual operation provides users with the resistance they desire to make precise changes in focus. A 300-degree focus rotation angle and gear position is consistent across the entire Sumire Prime series of lenses - eliminating the need to adjust gear positions when changing lenses.

The Sumire Prime Lens series are all compatible with the complete lineup of Canon Cinema EOS full-frame and Super 35mm 4K cameras, including the EOS C700 FF, EOS C300 Mark II and EOS C200. In addition to Canon cameras, these lenses are also compatible with the latest full-frame and Super 35mm PL-mount cameras from leading manufacturers.
